Georgetown Day School's Ziyah Holman posted one of the fastest high school girls 400 times ever run in the DC metro area on Saturday at the Brooks PR Invitational in Seattle, Washington with her US No. 6 time of 52.62. The junior at Georgetown Day, Holman had a prior personal best of 53.48 this season at the ISL/MAC Championships and was able to chop considerable time off in the elite post-season event this weekend at Brooks PR.

Holman has only suffered one defeat this season in a runner-up finish to Harford Tech (MD) sophomore Caitlyn Bobb at the Bullis Bulldog Invitational at the 400 meter distance with notable wins at Mt. SAC Relays in California and Dogwood Track Classic in Virginia as well as winning yet another DCSAA title at 400 meters and 200 meters.

She did summer track meets as well last year, so we will see if she intends on continuing racing after Brooks PR and possibly lowering her time more.

There are no records of any high school girl in Northern Virginia, DC, and Southern Maryland having run as fast as Holman's 52.62 400 meter performance before.
