Entry Fee:

$275.00 boys and girls or $137.50 for boys/girls only. Please make checks payable to James Wood High School. Entry fees are due by April 14, 2018.  Field is limited to 20 teams.

Entries:

Entries must be entered by Tuesday, April 24 at 11:59 PM.  Teams may enter TWO (2) athletes per event in all events. Please be honest with entry standards to maintain integrity of the seeding.  One (1) relay team per school in each relay event.

You will need to submit your entries using the MileSplit meet entry system.

Scratches:

We have already moved back the entry deadline in order for coaches and athletes to enter times from the preceding weekend. If an athlete scratches from a running event after the Wednesday scratch deadline, that runner may not be added to another event, including relays.  No substitutions after the Tuesday entry deadline!

Implements:

Shots and discs will be weighed and verified in the field house weight room starting at 8:00 a.m.

Participation:

As per VHSL limitations, athletes are permitted unlimited field entries and three running events, with the exception of athletes running in the 3200 meter run, who are restricted to two running events.

The JWAA will offer concessions throughout the day.  Proceeds benefit the JWAA scholarship and athletic funds.

Lunch:

Coaches and meet workers will be served lunch in the field house cardio room at the conclusion of the morning events (11:00-1:00).

Coaches Meeting:

Scratches only.  A field competitor may scratch without penalty. A running competitor may scratch from an event on the day of the meet and still be eligible to compete in other events for which he/she was registered; however, they cannot be entered into other individual events or relays.  Again, no substitutions are permitted.  Violations of these rules will result in disqualification from the event and the rest of the meet.

Miscellaneous:

No changes after the entry deadline of Tuesday, April 24 at 11:59 PM.  Coaches are solely responsible for checking their entries prior to submission! Participants must report to the bullpen by second call.  Absence for the third call will result in a scratch for that event.  Only athletes in the bullpen are permitted on the infield.  All other coaches, athletes, and spectators must remain in the stands.

Three attempts for all field events trials in flights-top seven to finals for an additional three attempts.

High jump starting heights (five alive):Girls 46Boys 56
