St. Xavier senor Connor Sheryak has committed to Georgetown University in Washington D.C. The 2011 Kentucky State Cross Country Class AAA Champion is the fourth senior from St. Xavier to commit to a Division 1 University for next year (Sam Lewis - Wake Forest, Nick Reader & Thomas Cave - UL.)
Sheryak, was the 2012 Class AAA 3200m State Champion in track with a 9:24.37. His best time of 9:14.92 is #6 All-Time in the 3200m in Kentucky history. He was a member of three Class AAA Team Championships at St. Xavier including as a freshman which is rarity. His senior year the Tigers won Nike Cross Southeast led by Sheryak's 6th place finish. The team then went on to compete at Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon where Sheryak finished 58th overall.
