An Interview With Nyckoles Harbor of Archbishop Carroll

On August 25, Archbishop Carroll rising sophomore Nyckoles Harbor clocked a 10.65 FAT performance in the 100 meter dash at Bullseye Running's Summer Track Meet. It was a big personal best for Harbor, who might have found himself - and the rest of his Archbishop Carroll teammates - in the national spotlight this spring had the track season commenced as normal.

Still, Harbor was one of the nation's fastest freshmen this past winter, clocking indoor times of 6.47 (55) and 22.33 (200). Harbor is also a decorated youth runner on the club scene, having won multiple AAU titles in the 100 meter dash. Harbor is from Maryland (and competes for a Maryland-based track club, Full Speed Athletics) and attends Archbishop Carroll in Washington, D.C. Carroll, under Coach Rafiu Bakare, has been a national sprint powerhouse in the past (their 2016 sprint group, led by Maxwell Willis, was one of the best in the U.S.) and features plenty of young, up-and-coming talent alongside Harbor.
