Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) High School's Laurenz Colbert scored the week's first National Performer honor after his big effort at the 25th Hispanic James to begin the new year.

The Maryland sprinter posted a time of 21.64 seconds in the 200m and went on to grab 2,450 votes for 39-percent of the tallies.

A big congrats goes out to Laurenz on the honor.

Now let's get to Week 2. Vote for whom you think should win this week's national honor following a big week of action. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
