Eldad Mulugeta & Obsaa Feda Finish Up XC Season At NXN

The Northwood senior tandem of Eldad Mulugeta and Obsaa Feda finished up their memorable 2018 cross country season racing individually against nation's best at the Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon. Mulugeta led the way with his arguably his best race ever to move up from 72nd place at the first mile to finish 38th overall. Mulugeta's finish is the 3rd best ever by a Maryland boys runner in the national meet's history. Mulugeta was also the highest finisher among the Southeast Region's 5 individual qualifiers.

His teammate and the Maryland 4A state cross country champion Obsaa Feda also held his own against the national class field as he finished 112th overall in a time of 16:19.

Northwood coach Gio Reumante was able to make the trip out to Oregon as well thanks to generous support of the running community in a GoFundMe campaign and captured some great moments of the experience and race of his two national qualifier athletes.
