The Indoor track & field season officially came to a close this past weekend with the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships. Throughout the winter, we have had may fine performances by our Rhode Islanders. Now it's your turn to VOTE who you felt was the best of them all. We compiled a list of the six we felt stood out among the rest. Here's a brief summary of each one.

Barrington's Bobby Colantonio was the No. 1 weight-thrower all season long and earned his first national title at the NBNI with an 81-footer. Bobby also set at state record for the 35-pound weight. La Salle's Jack Salisbury captured his third straight titles at the state meet in the 1,500- and 1,000-meter runs. Jack also set at state record for the 1,000m by winning the New England Championships and in February he broke the tape in the Junior Mile at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix with another state mark of 4:08.33.

Salisbury's junior teammate DJ Principe won his second straight state crown in the 3,000-meter run. He was also second in the 3K at the Yale Track Classic where he set a RI mark of 8:26.51. He also broke a state record for two miles after winning the New England meet with a time of 8:59.05. This past weekend at the New Balance Nationals, DJ clocked a 4:10 for the Rams' third-place 4xMile relay and was fourth in the two mile at 8:59.99.

Classical's Nathan Narcisse made it back-to-back state titles in the 55m hurdles and won his first New England crown by taking the 60m hurdles at the Reggie Lewis Center. Lastly, there's North Kingstown's Stephen Cirella, who not only won the shot put with a PB of 52-10, but was a runner-up in the long jump at this year's state meet.
