LANDOVER, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team placed 10th at the Terrapin Invitational, Saturday, hosted by the University of Maryland.

The Blue Jays finished with a team score of 32 points. Meet host Maryland captured a first place finish with 101 points while Coppin State took second with 74. Morgan State rounded out the top-three finishes with 71 points. Hopkins was the only Centennial school to compete in the meet.

Senior Stephen Sihelnik finished 15th in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:33.48 while freshman Austin Stecklair captured 19th in the 1-mile with a time of 4:34.25. Freshman Andrew Ceruzzi took ninth in the 3,000-meter run finishing with a time of 9:06.74 while sophomore Julian Saliani took eighth (8:58.58), senior Brett Schwartzfinished 10th (9:07.30) and sophomore Ricky Mulroy took 11th (9:14.69).

The two distance medley relay teams took fourth (10:48.46) and fifth (10:48.76).

Freshman Ryan Walsh took seventh in the high jump with a distance of 1.94 meters (6'4.25"). Freshman Saharsh Mehta took eighth in the pole vault (3.65 meter - 11'11.75") while freshman Patrick Civetta took ninth (3.5 meters - 11'5.75"). Freshman Michael Spadaro captured eighth in the long jump with a distance of 13.41 meters (44'0'). 

Johns Hopkins return to action next week when the Blue Jays travel to State College, PA to compete in the Penn State National Open on January 28.
