Arria Minor Has A Big Day At Great Southwest Indoor Classic

60m Dash Race

Denver Lightning's Arria Minor competed in the 60m, 200m, and 400m at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic on Saturday. Minor kicked things off running a new Great Southwest Indoor track and field classic record of 7.41 in the 60m dash.

400m Race

Although it isn't often that we get to see Minor compete in the 400m dash, she had an impressive performance. Minor would take the win running a new US No. 2 time of 53.80. She now ranks only behind Frisco Heritage's Bailey Lear in the 400m.  Lear ran 53.20 last weekend against a collegiate field to win the Texas Tech Open.

200m race

Minor's day at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic did not end there. She finished strong by posting a win in the 200m dash. Although 23.72 is not her fastest performance of the year, this time would still rank her in the top five in the nation currently.

At the end of the day, Minor walked away with three meet records and two high school facility recordsCheck out more from the Great Southwest Classic Indoor Invitational in the links below.
