Blacksburg Girls Make It 5 NXN Trips in A Row!

Despite dominating some great teams all year, the Bruins of Blacksburg needed all the help they could get this time around at WakeMed in the NXN-SE Regional. By that we mean they needed their first at-large invitation to NXN to make the elite field... this was the first NXN-SE at large invitation in quite some time.

The Blacksburg girls finished third in the NXN-SE Region with 157 points. Cardinal Gibbons took home the title in 120 with Louisville in second with 148. Panther Nation lost a tie-breaker to Blacksburg with 157 also to finish 4th.

It doesn't matter though how close the battle was last Saturday because this was a learning experience for this Bruin squad and they will have a clean slate this weekend in Portland. You can expect some quick times from all their girls and especially Kaitlynn Wolfe who was 4th overall in 17:31.
