Olympic Sprinter Marvin Bracy Signs With Indianapolis Colts

In May, when asked about his future in football, Marvin Bracy said, "I know I still got it."

And now the Orlando Boone (Florida) High graduate will get his shot after signing with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday. The terms of his deal were not disclosed.

Bracy, who stands at 5-foot-9 and weights 172 pounds, last played football at Florida State in 2012 as a redshirt freshman.

"I don't want to say I regret leaving school early, but there's always going to be that 'What if?' that rings in my head like, 'What if I would have stayed and played three or four years?' What would it be like now?" Bracy said. "That's something that's always been in the back of my mind."

Recently, the Florida native has pursued a career in track and field and was a member of Team USA at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, where he reached the quarterfinals. Bracy earned a seventh-place finish in the 60m at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in 2016 and was second in the same race in 2014.

He did not run at the USA Outdoor Championships in 2017. He holds a personal best of 9.93 seconds in the 100m.

He came out of Orlando Boone as a four-star recruit and in track was the only athlete in Florida ever to run faster than Jeff Demps and Houston McTear -- they both posted their record-breaking times of 10.01 and 10.16 seconds after graduation -- with a personal best 100m time of 10.25 seconds.

Side note: Earlier this year, Florida's Anthony Schwartz broke that mark by running a time of 10.15 seconds.
